Dorothy Ellen Pegg, 91, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away on Nov. 8, 2017 in Fort Collins. 

Dorothy was born in Madrid, Nebraska on Dec. 29, 1925 to Ardell L. and Anna V. (Silvrants) Lovenburg. 

After graduating from Madrid High School, Dorothy married Jack Pegg on Oct. 12, 1944 in North Platte, Neb.

Dorothy worked in various Woolworth’s Colorado stores including Brighton, Greeley and Longmont. She also was employed by Hubbard Jewelry in Arvada, Colo., and operated Modo-Day Dress in Brighton.

Dorothy loved sewing and embroidery work, cooking and working in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed road trips and traveling. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by husband Jack in 2015, son Kenneth in 1976, sister Delores and brother Alva.

She is survived by her sons, Leonard (Marlene) of Gaston, Ore., and Larry (Ruthie) of Fort Collins; sisters Estline Waterman of Grant, Neb., and Joyce Losino of Fort Morgan, Colo.; brother, Galen Lovenburg of Estes Park, Colo.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery in Ft. Lupton, Colo.

Tabor-Rice Funeral Home of Brighton was in charge of arrangements.
