Elvin and Anna Wells

Elvin Wells passed away March 4, 2021, followed by Anna Marie Wells, who passed away March 20, 2021. They were married October 15, 1971 in Grant, Nebraska. Elvin was born October 25, 1934 in Hyden, Kentucky to Betty Jane and Mathew Wells. Anna Marie was born June 5, 1944 in Grant to Marie and Harry Shalla. Together, they pastored a Four Square church in Grant in 1976-1979, and resided in Longview, Texas since 1982.

Elvin and Anna Marie are survived by their children, Doug, Sara, and Jon Wells; daughter-in-law Melissa Wells; grandchildren Liam, Everett, and Madeleine Wells; by Elvin’s siblings Martha Amburgey, Harold and Elzie Wells; and by Anna Marie’s sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Bob Barnum, and her sister-in-law Marcia Shalla. They are preceded in death by their parents; by Anna Marie’s brother, Wendell Shalla; and by Elvin’s siblings, Susie Johnson, Mavie Kilburn, Burley, Bethel, Willie, Lillie, and Marion Wells.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Grant United Methodist Church with Rev. Lorri Kentner and Bob Barnum officiating.
