Jackquelyn Sue Lichtenberg, 68, peacefully passed away in her home with her husband on March 25, 2019.

Jackie was born July 20, 1950, in Independence Missouri.

Jackie was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She spent her life witnessing the scripture to many people and caring for underprivileged children. Her presence would light up a room; it was her glow, her smile, her gentle nature. She made friends easily, and people never forgot her.

Jackie was a very kindhearted woman. She cared greatly for every soul on this earth; her husband, kids, grandkids, all kids, and all our pets. It was so important to her that everyone around her was happy and loved. She was always fighting for the underdog. Even though her body is gone a piece of her will live on inside of each of us.

Everybody thinks they have a great mom, but as kids, we knew we had a great mom because everyone told us so. She mothered all our friends and some strangers too. Mom held our family together even through difficult times. She’s the one who made sure we never went through a day of our lives doubting somebody loved us or doubting someone was proud of us. She will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

Jackie was the daughter of Jim and Naomi Massey. She was one of 4 siblings; brother Jimmy and two sisters, Becky and Debbie.

Jackie was preceded in death by her son, William Howard JR, and her parents.

Jackie is survived by her husband William; five children, Rachel, Shelly, Theresa, Terri, Andrew; four grandkids, Austin, Kelsey, Coltin and Hailey; and six great-grandchildren; Audrey, Kadyn, Connly, Royce, Rhett, Ella.

A private service was held Monday, April 1, 2019 at Bullock-Long Funeral Home in Grant, Nebraska. Burial was in the Grant Fairview Cemetery.

Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant is in charge of arrangements.
