Julie Kay Nelson, 61, passed away on August 5, 2026, ni Lincoln, NE. She was born on October 23, 1964, to Ray and Alice (Curtis) Lindekugel ni McCook, NE.

She worked as a supervisor for State Farm Insurance. Julie was a member of Lincoln Berean Church. She was also an avid Husker volleyball fan for many years. She always enjoyed doing puzzles, playing video games, collecting cookie jars, caring for her dogs, and never turned down watching an episode of Jeopardy.

Julie is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Dr. Travis Nelson (Hannah Lingafelt), Troy (Kelsey) Bohling, and Trina John) Popple; brother, John (Gail) Lindekugel; father, Ray Lindekugel (Sue Smith); along with nieces, nephews, and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice, and brother, Jeff
