Kristy Evans, 56

Hastings resident Kristy S. Evans, 56, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at her home.

Memorial service will be at 1:00pm, Monday, March 24, 2025, at Hastings First United Methodist Church with Pastor Lance Clay officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Wallace, Nebraska. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting her family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hastings First United Methodist Church.

Kristy was born December 5, 1968, in Fort Benning, GA, the daughter of Karol and Joan (Hoover) Evans. She graduated high school in Lenora, KS and received her degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Colby Community College in Colby, KS. Kristy worked as a PTA in Lincoln, NE, Alliance, NE, and Benkelman, NE. She was a member of Hastings First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, and making greeting cards with envelopes by computer.

Kirsty is survived by her father and stepmother, Karol and Kay Evans; brother, Chad Evans; uncle, Roy (Shirley) Evans; aunt, Carol Buchanan; and cousin, Warren (Rubydell) Bogaert.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Evans and grandparents, Wayne and Rowena Hoovers & Edward and Agnes Evans.
