Richard Eugene Nodlinski, 86

Richard Eugene Nodlinski passed gently during the early morning hours of July 25, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Milford and Dorothy Nodlinski. His brother Terry, his wife Marsha, and their daughter Kristi.

Richard was born on July 10, 1939 in a small rural hospital in Big Springs, NE.

He spent his formative years on the family farm in western NE. Richard was an above average student which earned him a scholarship to Colorado State University. He graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Upon graduation he married his high school sweet heart , Marlene Schilling.

Richard spent the next 55 years in education. First as a teacher and athletic coach. He then he earned his Masters degree education administration and became a high school administrator.

Richard was an avid outdoorsman. He spent several years traveling to Canada to hunt geese and ducks. Richard was also a member of the RMEF (Rocky Mountain Elk Federation) and traveled all over the Western US to hunt elk.

Richard was an enthusiastic golfer as well. He has two aces (holes in one) to his credit. Richard was an active member of the Devine Savior parish and served as an usher for several years.

Richard is survived by his wife of 65 years Marlene, his 3 children, Tracy Nodlinski, Tami Rines (Ken), and Cindi Stevens. He has 3 grand daughters and 1 great-grandson.
