Help us keep the trend going

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas season from the Perkins County Community Foundation Fund (PCCFF) Advisory Committee!

The PCCFF Advisory Committee members were so excited to mail out our annual report recently, which describes our 2020 activities and our efforts to maintain a high quality of life in Perkins County.

We invite all of you to view the report on our webpage, which is located on the Nebraska Community Foundation website at https://www.nebcommfound.org/give/perkins-county-community-foundation-fund/

We would also like to ask you for your support during this giving season to continue these activities. During this very difficult year, particularly with regard to the pandemic, the PCCFF has continued funding local grants and planning ahead.

A grant to the Perkins County Schools, for example, helped narrow the “home work gap” by upgrading internet needs of families and students during the current health crisis. (See page 2 of the report.)

Recent activities of PCCFF, including the very successful endowment campaign of 2019 and the internship project of 2020, have created a greater awareness of the importance of the fund to Perkins County.

As a result, 2020 was a year with the greatest dollars ever provided to local community projects.

The Unrestricted Endowment of PCCFF is like a “community savings account” for the benefit of Perkins County and its citizens. The PCCFF endowment account will be held in perpetuity, creating assets that will remain for generations to fund community improvements. Like you, we want to keep our county the kind of place our young people would like to call home.

The PCCFF has invested over $70,000 into community projects since its beginning in 2003. This has included support for our library, museum and fire department improvements, for example. Currently, the fund is able to grant more than $17,000 per year into community projects. Grant dollars could expand with additional funding.

We are proud that PCCFF is an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation. This means that most contributions are tax deductible and all support is handled with the highest level of professional management. (See page 4 of the annual report for financial analysis.)

We again would like to ask for your year-end financial support of the fund. Your gift will continue to build this permanent endowment account.

Please join our Fund Advisory Committee in making a 2020 contribution, whether cash, gift of grain or livestock, or other method.

Please contact your accountant on potential benefits of the various giving methods, and then get ahold of one of the committee members that are listed in the annual report for more information or to give.

Thank you for your consideration and support, and may you have a joyous Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
