Show up and show out for PC Chamber Open House and beyond
Shopping local and taking advantage of hometown deals isn’t just good sense — it could be considered a civic duty. Think about it: what if that business you depend on is barely getting by? How would you feel without it?
We all know what it’s like to have limited options, but are we truly supporting the ones we do have?
Next week, the Tribune is offering special sales for both subscribers and advertisers. And listen—we love giving you a deal. But the truth is, we need your support just as much as you need ours.
Advertising is what keeps the paper going. Many don’t realize the costs behind every issue—the paper itself, the ink, the press, the postage, and yes, the power bill and the people who make it all happen.
Advertising in the paper is a full-circle system:
Run the ad > Support the paper > Promote your content > Drive readership > Boost revenue for everyone.
The more ads, stories, and community news we can pack into the paper, the more readers we attract—and the more eyes see your business. It’s truly a win-win.
Now that I’ve ranted about my own profession, I hope it sparks some thought about the other businesses in town, too. Every shop, café, and service in Perkins County depends on locals choosing to show up.
We’re blessed with some of the best right here at home. So this Thursday—and every day going forward—let’s make a conscious effort to show up and show out.
Let’s keep the tradition of shopping local alive and well in Perkins County.
