So sad to see the trees go

Dear Editor:

Here we are in Nebraska, home of Arbor Day, ripping out all our trees downtown. As soon as they are torn out it looks hotter and abandoned. No more people will stop to take pictures of our “Norman Rockwell” downtown. So sad.
