Spotlight on caring people

Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

We want to share some heartwarming news concerning a good deed performed recently in our town.

One morning an ambitious person began a job of cleaning up the yard of a friend who is unable to do the work.  As the morning progressed, people would stop to ask if she needed help. Hearing her story, they volunteered to help. Before long several people and at least two children were helping pull weeds, mow, trim, carry residue to be hauled away, and by the middle of the day the large task was completed!

Often we think that one person would be unable to accomplish a large task; but in our community, some people saw a need to drop what they were doing and willingly rose to the occasion by helping, often bringing their own equipment.

What a great group of caring people! You certainly made the day for  many who saw your selfless work in progress.  You are a blessing to all!
