Students raising awareness against sexual harassment

We are writing to express our thoughts on raising awareness for the rising issue of sexual harassment within our society.

We are writing on the behalf of our FCCLA project. This year, we have decided to compete in a STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) event within our Perkins County chapter. We had decided to go along with the project of Advocacy. 

Here, we were asked to: identify a local, state, national or global concern, research the topic, identify a target audience/potential partnerships, form an action plan and advocate for the issue in an effort to positively affect a policy or law. 

We had first created a plan in order to start our project. We became more knowledgeable on the topic of this social issue and we wish to share it with you.

If interested, we have also started a GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/the-teal-deal. Here, all funds will be sent and donated to the Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence. This nonprofit organization seeks to prevent and eliminate sexual and domestic violence, especially in the state of Nebraska. 

The only thing we wish to leave behind from this project, is making a positive and moving impact to those around us, especially to the victims of such a traumatic experience. We only hope you join us as we work on this project!
