Waiting for the best time to plant

Pulpit Reflections

One of my favorite hymns I love to hear is “I’m the Seed.” The reason is very simple, when I’m singing that specific song, it talks to me about responsibility. That responsibility is presented by the author in different ways.

I’m the seed, I’m the morning, I’m the fire, I’m the sap.

When I meditate about my understanding of these verses, I come to the conclusion that it is important to recognize the only way the sewer can see the harvest, is planting. The heat of the earth will help the seed to germinate and the plant will feed itself from the sap provided from the land. The fruits are the result of that combination and other factors.

God is powerful and puts everything before us in a way we can have a good harvest in our life. This year is a good time to start. Plant something good to receive something good. I believe God already planted in a good season in our life.

Be responsible with the seed that is in us.

Intensify the fire of the Spirit of God.

Read the word of God to find the perfect food for the soul.

Spread the good news of your personal duty as the carrier of the good news.

In the end, will be the second stanza, the plentiful result of your personal harvest.

I’m the star that I need to shine.

I’m the spot and torch that needs to produce light.

This year can be the year to make big changes that you’ve always wanted in your life. I hope with the help of the Lord, we will achieve them.
