Photography on display at Meadowlark Gallery Open house to be held Oct. 7

The Perkins County Area Arts Council will be hosting an Open House on Friday Oct. 7 in honor of photographer Brian Stephenson from Alliance, who is providing the October show at Meadowlark Gallery in Grant.

His photography is a celebration of the people, the creatures and the landscapes that he feels fortunate to wander among.

Brian’s candid shots of people’s emotions and expressions provide a historical reference worth capturing.

One of his greatest joys has been the learned appreciation of the landscapes and creatures he encounters.

“I am privileged to witness and record these images,” said Brian. “Photography has allowed me the opportunity to capture life a split second at a time and reflect on those precious moments at a leisurely pace.”

Brian is the father of Tristan Stephenson, Perkins County Schools art instructor.

Darlene and Ali Armstrong of Big Springs will also be exhibiting a rare collection in October.

Their display is a gathering of beautifully gnarled, knotted and bleached High Plains knotholes.

Come as you are to the Open House and meet Brian Stephenson, Friday, October 7 from 5-7p.m., at Meadowlark Gallery, downtown Grant.
