Anders receives airflow certification

Shane Anders of Wallace with the Mid-Plains Community College’s Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration class has successfully completed the necessary training to receive NC3 Trane Residential Airflow Certification.

To receive the certification, students had to go through a “hands-on” course led by a qualified instructor using appropriate tools, equipment and practice materials in their labs. Upon completion of the course, students took an online exam.

The Trane certifications were developed and administered by NC3 and are compatible with other industry-recognized certifications. The students will have the option of pursuing additional certifications in refrigeration diagnostics, variable speed motors and air-to-air heat pumps during their time at Mid-Plains.
