Back to school on Aug. 16

As hard as it may be to believe, Perkins County School students will head back to school one week from today.

School for grades K-12 will start at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16 with a 1:30 dismissal. 

Laptop check out for junior and senior high school students and a parent informational meeting will be held on Monday, Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Pritchett Gym. 

An open house for elementary students and their parents will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 15 from 5:30-7 p.m.

Regular school hours begin at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday. K-6 grades dismiss at 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7-12 grades dismiss two minutes later. On Fridays, K-6 dismisses at 2:30 p.m. and 7-12 dismisses at 2:32 p.m. 

The first day of preschool will be Wednesday, Aug. 23. The morning class will run from 8-11 a.m. and the afternoon class will be held from 12-3 p.m.
