Class of 2019 graduates this Saturday

Seniors will gather as an entire class for the final time during 2019 graduation ceremonies this Saturday, May 11.

The 21 seniors from Perkins County Schools will begin their march into Pritchett Gymnasium at 1 p.m. MT, while 15 Wallace High School seniors will graduate at 4:30 p.m. CT.

Perkins County 

PCS graduates will be wearing red and black, accented by black-tipped roses, which will be given to family members during the song “Forever Young” by Rod Stewart.

Superintendent Phillip Picquet said noise makers/horns will not be permitted out of respect to graduates and their families. 

The class has chosen the quote, “This is the ending of one big thing, but the beginning of everything else.”

Their class song is “Through the Fire and the Flames” by Dragon Force.

Fifteen seniors from the Class of 2019 will walk across the stage at Wallace High School to receive their diplomas and begin their futures. 

“I’ll Be There For You” by The Rembrandts is their class song and their quote is by Walt Disney. “Around here, we don’t look backwards for very long...We keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing news things because we’re curious, and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

Their chosen flower, blue and white dragon roses, enhances their colors of navy, platinum and lime green.
