Jensen to graduate with nursing degree 

Bryan College of Health Sciences announces the graduating class of May 2017. Sixteen will be graduating with a Doctor of Nurse anesthesia practice, 57 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing, ten with a Bachelor of Science in health professions, seven with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences, and one with an Associate of Science in health professions. 

Earning a Bachelor of Science in nursing is Lacey Jensen of Grant.

Graduation will be held on May 5, at 5:30 p.m. at Saint Paul United Methodist Church.

Gaar named High Scholar 

Kaleb Gaar of Grant was among more than 1,900 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students honored during individual college celebrations and the All-University Honors Convocation April 23 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.

Gaar, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, was recognized as a High Scholar.

Honorees included Chancellor’s Scholars: students who graduated in December or who will receive their degrees in May or August and have maintained 4.0 grade-point averages on all collegiate work at Nebraska and elsewhere; Superior Scholars: seniors graduating in the 2016-2017 academic year who are in the top 3 percent of their college’s senior class or who have been recognized at Honors Convocation each year of their enrollment; High Scholars: students other than Chancellor’s Scholars and Superior Scholars who are in the top 10 percent of their class.
