Contest held for students
The Wallace Ladies Auxiliary held four contests for students to participate in for the Veterans Day program.
Kindergarten through second grade students were asked to draw a picture that included American flag.
The winner was second grade student, Wyatt Robertson.
Third through fifth grade students were asked to make a collage about what is beautiful about America. The winner was fifth grade student, Ashley Robertson.
Sixth through eighth grade students were asked to write an essay about the significance of the words of the Pledge of Allegiance. The winner was eighth grade student Denay Pelster.
High school students were asked to write an essay entitled, “American History, Our Hope For The Future.” The winner was junior, Chevi McClintock.
