FFA members earn awards at state

 The Perkins County FFA members participated in state competition along with 48 other schools on April 5-7 in Lincoln.

Perkins County Results

Ag Mechanics and Technology: Team 22nd out of 48 schools. Zach Malmkar, 17th, purple ribbon, out of 192 competitors.

AgriScience: Caleb Lagler, white ribbon (top 40 percent of 720 students)

Agronomy: 42nd out of 180 teams (720 students)

Zach Malmkar, 113th, blue ribbon; Nathan Kemling, 148th, red ribbon

Farm Management: Nathan Kemling, 28th, purple ribbon

Food Science: Evan Sestak, white ribbon

Meats: Tanner Burge, white ribbon

Natural Resources: Derek Sis, blue ribbon.

Livestock: Junior Division: Tanner Burge, first place, state champion. Senior Division: Charles Johnson, 15th place. (Ribbons have not been designated for livestock evaluation yet)
