National FFA week was celebrated nationally as well as locally last week. Perkins County students participated in various activities or dress days in recognition of the holiday. Thursday was the annual “Kiss-a-pig” ceremony. Teacher and coach Tanner Collins said he was aiming for the piglet’s snout, but settled for a safer location after the angry piglet was going to have none of it. Friday was “Drive your tractor to school day” and Freshman Wyatt Quinn pulls out of the school parking lot on Friday afternoon in his John Deere.
