Perkins County Schools November senior-of-the-month honor has been given to Issabella Fraizer.

Fraizer is the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Fraizer.

During her time at Perkins County High School, Fraizer has been heavily involved with athletics, activities, and her community.

Fraizer participated in both volleyball and speech for all four years of her high school career. She also has been active in cheer, one acts, track, and FCCLA. Fraizer lettered in each of these activities more than once.

Outside of school, Fraizer attended Grant E-Free Church’s youth group early on in her high school career. Her junior and senior years, she has directed swimming lessons.

During middle school and 10th and 11th grade, Fraizer worked as a babysitter for many families in the area. Also in her sophomore and junior year, she was a lifeguard at the Grant Municipal Pool.

She has also been employed at the hospital as a dietary server, and has been a caregiver for a local daycare.

The accomplishment Fraizer is most proud of during her time at Perkins County Schools is her evolution as a person.

When she was younger, she was shy and didn’t make friends very easily. In middle school, she said her friends and teachers helped her to open up more. “Now today, I have no problems talking to people and making new friends,” says Fraizer.

In the future, Fraizer plans to enter a career in either occupational therapy or social work. Since she enjoys working and spending time with younger kids, she believes these career options would be well-suited for her.

Art, coloring, and painting help Fraizer express her creativity. She says she is a creative and unique person, and she mostly expresses her creativity through her personality, along with her art.

The community as a whole has impacted who Fraizer is today. “Growing up in a place with such loving and kind people changes the way you see things,” she commented.

She has given back to the community by volunteering for fair and school activities, and also by helping keep the public pool a safe and fun environment for children in the summer by being a lifeguard.

For being selected senior of the month, Fraizer’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant. She will be elible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.

The student of the month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
