Hahn selected senior of December

Matthew Hahn, son of Troy and Renee Hahn, was selected as the December senior of the month.

Hahn has been involved in many activities all four years of high school, including four years of cross country, three in track, two in band, one in FFA, and his senior year in the National Honor Society.

Other activities he enjoys include offseason road races and weightlifting. He placed in the top 10 at Platte River Fitness Series last year.

He works at the Hahn Farm and also mows.

The accomplishment Hahn is most proud of is going to state cross country as a team his junior and senior years.

He said the community and his teachers have shaped and influenced him in numerous ways.

“The generous and nice people in Perkins County have influenced me to be the same with others. I hope to someday give back to the community what they have given to me all my life. I hope to inspire and be a guide for what it means to work for something you want in your life,” he said.

He plans to attend college for physical therapy for sports management, and is looking into running cross country.

For being selected Senior of the Month, Hahn’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant. He will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year. The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
