McClenahan signs to cheer at CSC

Perkins County 2023 Graduate Mallory McClenahan has signed to cheer at Chadron State College this fall. On April 1, McClenahan went to a cheer clinic hosted by the Chadron State College Cheerleaders. She said it was a great opportunity to learn how to stunt, as that is a requirement for CSC cheer tryouts. On April 2, McClenahan got an email from CSC Cheer Coach Cat Evans asking her to try out for the school’s cheer team. On April 22 McClenahan attended in-person tryouts held at the Chadron campus. McClenahan said it was an amazing opportunity to see and mingle with all the current cheerleaders as well as meet some of the new contenders. April 24 was when contestants were notified of the judges’ decisions and McClenahan officially signed early in May with her mother, Brenda, left, and PCS Cheer Coach Samantha Snogren, right, present.
