PCS to present musical this weekend

Perkins County Schools will present Forty-Five Minutes from Broadway this Saturday and Sunday at the high school.

Show times will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15 in the multi- purpose room.

Sixteen PCS students will perform the musical with music and lyrics by George Cohan.

In Forty-Five minutes to Broadway, a Broadway show is opening, but having serious problems.

Stubborn leading ladies and minimal working capital are just a few of the headaches. An aspiring young actress could be the one to save the show, if only they had the money to put it on.

To complicate matters, one character’s on the run from the mob and brings with him a side-splitting array of more characters.

From the chorus girls to the mob collection team, in spite of all the turmoil, the show must go on! Students participating include:

Freshmen—Mallory McClenahan, Sarah Cockerill,

Sophomores—Meghan Bishop, Sophia Perez, Summer, Postlewait, Jayden Huntsman, Jordan Mireles, Kayla Reichenberg

Juniors—Jessie Craig, Savannah Schmitt, Hannah Kempf, Miah Long

Seniors—Matthew Wendell, Jacob Woodmancy, Sam McArtor, Anselmo Perez.
