Queen for a moment

By Becky Uehling|Grant Tribune-Sentinel

Perkins County Head Football Coach Tanner Collins struts his stuff after getting dolled up by fellow coaches Steve Snyder and Ryan Boldt during the honorary “Queen for Homecoming” competition during the Perkins County Homecoming Pep Rally on Monday, Oct. 3. The game was just one of several organized by the Perkins County Cheerleaders. Collins competed with the senior boys for the best looking honorary “queen,” beating Casey Hanson, Eli Busick, Ethan Sihm and Tony Lyons (seated in front of Collins looking forward), for his best Cat Walk appeal after his makeup was applied. The seniors’ mothers help apply makeup to their sons for the competition. PC Homecoming Royalty candidates were announced on Tuesday, with the real queen and king to be announced after the football game on Friday, Oct. 7 against Maxwell, which starts at 2:30 p.m. 2022 Homecoming Royalty candidates this year are: King—Eli Busick, Ethan Sihm, Brient Wood, and Gavin Smith; Queen—Meredith Gloy, Gracie Loy, Mallory McClenahan and Clara Scheunert.
