Quiz bowl goes 4-2 at Maywood

The Perkins County High School Quiz Bowl team competed in the Maywood Invite on Tuesday, March 5, finishing 4-2 in pool play.

Thirteen other teams competed including Stapleton, Eustis-Farnam, Medicine Valley, Paxton, Sutherland 1, Sutherland 2, Hitchcock County, Dundy County-Stratton, Wauneta-Palisade, Southwest, Cambridge, Maywood and Wallace.

• Beat Sutherland 1 (45-40)

• Beat Paxton (40-25)

• Lost to Stapleton (5-35)

• Beat Eustis-Farnam (45-20)

• Lost to Medicine Valley (30-40)

• Beat Sutherland 2 (30-20)

The next competition will be the SPVA Conference Tournament in Bridgeport on Thursday, March 14.  

Team members include Jacob Woodmancy (captain), Matthew Wendell, Peyton Woodmancy, Hailey Snyder, Jeb Kohl, Meghan Bishop, Ethan Terry, Keegan Sims, Josh Malmkar and Brandon Knoles. 

The team is coached by Deanne Bishop.
