School hires P.E. teacher and wrestling coach

Perkins County School Board approved the contract of new teacher Dustin Stodola at their monthly meeting on July 17. 

Stodola will be teaching physical education in addition to elective classes. He will also be taking over as head wrestling coach in place of Dean Friedel. 

Stodola is a first-year teacher and graduate of Chadron State College. He wrestled for Chadron State and is a three-time high school state wrestling champion. 

Lance Steffen will continue to teach social studies half-time and will add the duties of the activities director half-time. He will be the head football coach and head girls basketball coach.
