Wallace takes RPAC Speech Championship

Wallace’s speech team competed in North Platte’s Blue & Gold meet on Saturday, Feb. 15 and the RPAC Conference meet on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

North Platte’s meet was split into novice (1st year) and varsity (experienced) groups for judging, and the top competitiors in each level were sent to a final round to compete for medals.

Superior status was also given to those who received a 45-50 rating among competitors.

“The team is always excited to have events compete in finals at North Platte,” said Coach Samantha Garrison. “The competition is tough. It is a great meet to prepare us for RPAC.”

Results for the Southwest Invitational at Bartley on Feb. 29 were not available at press time.

The team will next travel to North Platte on March 7 for the Best of the West meet.
