Wallace takes second at RPAC speech

Wednesday, Feb. 17, the Wallace speech team participated in the RPAC speech competition at Culbertson. Every Wallace student who competed earned a medal, and the team as a whole earned second place.

Paxton placed first at RPAC with 173.5 points, and Wallace was close behind with 164.5 points.

The team has one more meet before their district competition.

Saturday, Feb. 27, the team will compete at Sutherland and for the first time this season, participants will be able to invite two spectators to attend.

“The season has gone quickly,” said coach Samantha Garrison. “The students look forward to using the meet in Sutherland and our community performance scheduled for March 2 as a springboard for the district competition in Callaway on March 8.”

The community performance on March 2 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT at the high school.
