“Girls on the Run is So Much Fun!”

Perkins County Girls on the Run member Raegan Coon receives a bracelet from Coach Rochelle Hazelton, right, while Coach Sarah Korpan cheers her on during a 5K at the Perkins County High School Track last Saturday morning. The race was the finale for the group’s first year in Perkins County. Korpan said the day was “beautiful”, with nine members and their families participating. Matt Chandler-Smith served as DJ for the day, while Jon Forney started the race. The girls received several prizes, including a medal and were each able to break the tape, Korpan said. Korpan also praised PC Schools’ administration for coming out to support the girls.
