Boys place fifth in Ogallala
Perkins County tracksters battled rain and cold temperatures at last Wednesday’s Ed Moore Invite in Ogallala.
The boys earned 62 team points, gaining them a fifth place finish.
Evan Sestak earned the most medals for the day with three: second in high jump and the 110 hurdles and third in the 300 hurdles.
Alex Patrick and Caden Waitley both earned two medals. Patrick received second in the 100 and 200 and Waitley received the team’s only gold in the 800 and a sixth in the 400.
Matthew Hahn took third place in the mile.
For the girls, Hailey Snyder earled two medals: second in the triple jump and third in the 400.
Next action
The team will compete in the E. Lee Todd Track Invitational at home this Saturday, April 7 beginning at 9 a.m.
