Coach Cole celebrates 100th career win after Plainsmen victory in double OT

Two Plainsmen wins this week earned Coach Shawn Cole his 100th career win.

Already celebrating his 10th season with the Plainsmen, Cole had a new milestone to be proud of when his boys beat Gothenburg in double over-time on Saturday night.

The night before, the Plainsmen hosted the Kimball Longhorns, and took home a win, 63-36.

KIMBALL

Senior Spencer Ross kicked off the game, drilling a three in the first minute, but Kimball answered with one of their own. Josh Johnston put up the next five points for PC, before Beck and Ross each hit the net to give the Plainsmen a 3-point lead at the end of the first, 12-9.

The PC defense held the Longhorns to just two points in the second, while Johnston had another big quarter putting up 15 points before half time, including two treys. Also contributing to the 35-11 lead at the end of the second were Tyson Patrick, Michael Beck and Charlie Johnson.
