Cougars take Plainsmen in defensive match-up

The 11-1 Sedgwick County Cougars came to Perkins County and battled the Plainsmen on Thursday, Jan. 26. 

Charles Johnson hit the net during the first minute of the game, but the Cougars put up the next six points, before Josh Johnston drew a foul and hit two free shots. 

With about two minutes left in the game Beck went for a trey that hit the rim, but Derek Sis was there to assist and after a basket by Johnson, the game was tied 8-8. Unfortunately SC hit the basket to give them the two-point lead at the end of the first. 

The Cougars put up the first five points of the second, before Johnston and Sis put up baskets for the only four PC points of the quarter. SC put up three more, to make the score  at halftime 12-18, Cougar lead.
