Knoles, Meyer top wrestling stats

With a state championship from senior Brandon Knoles and a district championship by junior Austin Meyer, it’s no surprise those two were the stat leaders for this year’s Plainsmen wrestling team. 

Both finished with 33 wins.

Knoles led the team in takedowns with 53, escapes with 23 and 10 wins by decision. 

Meyer led the team in pins with 29, reversals with 20, 2-point near-falls with 10 and 3-point near falls with 12. 

Colton Pouk lead the team in major decisions with 5.

Knoles scored 211.5 team points while Meyer finished with 210. 

Knoles set a record for the most wins in a career with a 117-54 mark over his four years.
