Lady Cats add three losses, two by only one point

Wallace girls fell to Medicine Valley on Jan. 7, Arthur County on Jan.  10 and Mullen on Jan. 11.

They were defeated by both Med Valley and Arthur by just one point, 39-38 and 42-41 respectively.

Mullen got a quick lead and held on to it throughout the game, despite the Lady Cats’ efforts. They finished the game 34-57, making their record 3-6.

Mariah Gardner led in scoring for two of the three games with 17 points against Medicine Valley and 15 points in the game against Mullen. Karlie Finley led in the game against Arthur with 18 points.

The Lady Cats will next face South Platte, whose record stands 9-0, in a home game on Thursday, Jan. 16.

On Friday, Jan. 17, the girls will travel to Paxton with a 1-9 record.

They will then play Dundy Co. Stratton, whose record stands 9-1 coming into the week, in a home game on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
