Lady Cats fall to DCS in four

Wallace high school volleyball team took just one of four sets against Dundy County Stratton, bringing their record to 6-18.

Wallace suffered a loss during the first set 25-21. The Lady Cats were then able to pick up a win in the second set 24-26.

The third set was equally close, but despite their close fight against the Tigers, Wallace fell by two, 26-24. During the final match, DCS prevailed 25-15.

Sydney Pelster and Quinn Koop led the team in kills and aces. They each had six kills and four aces throughout the match. Pelster also had the most assists, with 12.

Karlie Finley led in digs, with 24 total. J. Rosentrater was not far behind with 22. Rosentrater also led the team in serve receptions with 13, with Finley close behind with 11.

Overall, the girls played an impressive game and fought hard against Dundy County Stratton.

The Lady Cats’ opened play in the Republican Plains Activities Conference tournament Oct. 22 in McCook. See results for this tournament in next week’s Tribune.

Wallace will open subdistrict play on Oct. 28 and 29 in North Platte.
