Lady Cats take on the Raiders
The Wallace Lady Wildcats lost against the Medicine Valley Raiders on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
In the first quarter it was 4-8, Raiders. Going into the second quarter, the Raiders scored 10 more points while the Wallace Wildcats only scored four. The Wildcats didn’t put up very many shots, and when they did, the shots just weren’t falling.
Going into the locker rooms at halftime, it was 18-8, Raiders leading. In the next two quarters, the Lady Wildcats scored eight and seven, while the Raiders scored 10 and nine. The Lady Wildcats struggled against man-to-man defense, which cost them the game. The Wildcats lost 23-37.
The leading scorer was senior Hannah Nelson, who scored 11 points. She also had eight defensive rebounds.
The Wildcats’ six offensive rebounds, compared to Medicine Valley’s 15, was low.

The 1-3 Lady Wildcats next game is Jan. 5. They will host the Arthur Wolves at 4 p.m. CT. On Jan. 6 the Wildcats will travel to go head-to-head against the Mullen Broncos at 2 p.m. CT.
