Lady Plainsmen add win to season

The Sedgwick County lady Cougars hosted the Perkins County Lady Plainsmen on Thursday, Jan. 25.

The scoring began when Sydney Wilson drew a foul and put up two points for PC from the free throw line. Maggie Earl followed suit with three in the bucket, and with an additional basket by Dani Burge and another free throw from Wilson, PC had an 11-point advantage. 

The Cougars closed the first with two shots, one of which was a trey, for an 11-5 score, PC ahead by six.

Earl was back at the basket to open the second quarter and was followed by Kyla Brueggeman, who nailed a triple pointer and followed it up with two more in the net. 

Earl made five more shots from the free throw line in the second and the Plainsmen held on the their lead at halftime, 24-16.
