Lady Plainsmen fall to competitors last week

Three losses last week took the Lady Plainsmen’s record to 2-18 thus far in the 2016-17 season. 

They hosted Creek Valley this week on Feb. 7, and will play NSAA next week. 

MAXWELL

On Tuesday Jan. 31, the Perkins County Lady Plainsmen hosted the 5-13 Maxwell Lady Wildcats.

Maxwell opened the game with a six-point run before Claire Maaliao hit the first basket for the Lady Plainsmen. After two more Wildcat shots, Kyla Brueggeman put one in the net for PC, to bring the score to 4-10 at the end of the first. 

Hailey Snyder drilled a triple and then hit the bucket again to add five for the Lady Plainsmen. The Wildcats put in a basket and drew a foul to add points to their board, and with 2:27 on the clock, Kait Heinemann sank a basket. Maxwell hit a trey before the end of the first half, where the Lady Plainsmen trailed by nine, score was 11-20.
