Lady Plainsmen head to North Platte for second round of SPVA

Last week the Lady Plainsmen hosted the Longhorns in the eighth annual Pink-Out on Thursday, Jan. 11. They then traveled to Wauneta Palisade on Friday night to play the Broncos, before heading into SPVA this week.

The Lady Longhorns took over the game in the first, opening with a 15-point run before PC’s Maggie Earl put up two for the Plainsmen. 

Despite a 3-point shot by Hailey Snyder and a shot by Jaci Kurkowski with an and one, the Lady Plainsmen were down at the half, 33-8. 

Sydney Wilson kicked off the third with a basket for the Lady Plainsmen, and throughout the third their defense held the Longhorns to 10 points. Nine points went up for PC which left Chase County up at the end of the third 43-17.

Dani Burge, Wilson and Earl found the net in the fourth, but ultimately the Longhorns took the victory 52-23 over the Lady Plainsmen.
