Lady Plainsmen host first meet of the season at Pheasant Run Monday

Three girls will make up the Plainsman golf team this fall and will be led by first year Head Coach JJ Geisert.

All three girls are returning golfers and include Junior Jacqueline Gloy, who competed in the State Meet last year. Also returning to the squad are Junior Lexie Fisher and Sophomore Karime Morales.

The girls are showing improvement with each practice and are working hard to achieve their individual and team goals.

Because it takes four golfers on the team for a combined team score, there will not be a chance to compete as a team, but each player shows great potential for individual medals at each meet.

Monday, August 26, was  the first competition as the team hosted a dual with North Platte St. Pats at Pheasant Run Golf Course. Results of the meet were not available at press time.

There will be two other home meets, an invitational on September 10, and a Quad on September 19. Spectators are welcome at all of these events.

It will be a busy season with 10 meets leading up to the District meet on October 7.
