Lady Wildcats start season with Buchanan as new coach
The Wallace Lady Wildcats will take the floor Thursday, Nov. 30 as they open their basketball season at Wauneta-Palisade with new coach Michael Buchanan.
Buchanan said the team is young with only four seniors, but they have some experience returning.
“We will have to rely on that experience if we expect to reach our goals,” he said.
Two of last year’s starters, juniors Peyton Messersmith and Chevi McClintock, are returning this season. Last year’s team finished the season as district runner-up with a record of 17-7.
Assisting Buchanan will be Danielle King.
