Loss takes Plainsmen to 9-6

Thursday, Jan. 25 saw the Plainsmen boys head to Sedgwick County to take on the Cougars.

A 3-point shot went up for SC to start the game, but one in the bucket from Tyson Patrick and a free throw in by Michael Beck resulted in the game’s first tie, 3-3. Sedgwick County got the next two baskets before Charlie Johnson and Tanner Burge each hit the net, and tied the game again. One free throw from the Cougars followed but two from Johnson put PC in the lead by one point, 9-8 at the end of the first.

Beck and Patrick opened the second, Beck with one, Patrick with two, before Aaron Fay hit a triple for PC.

The Cougars fought back and before halftime, despite another shot from Beck and two free shots from Johnson, the Cougars had the lead.
