In Saturdays game against Sutherland, freshman Dani Burge takes a shot for the Lady Plainsmen.

Losses plague Lady Plainsmen

After an almost three week hiatus due the Perkins County Booster Club’s Holiday tournament being cancelled, the Lady Plainsmen got back to it last week. Two home games were held, starting with North Platte St. Pat’s and Parents Night on Friday Jan. 5, and Sutherland on Saturday, Jan. 6.
NORTH PLATTE ST. PAT’S
The 9-1 Lady Irish came to Grant and owned the game with a 28 point run before PC’s Maggie Earl was fouled and put up the free shot with less than a minute left in the half.
Kicking off with 28-1 on the board, the third saw the PC defense allow another five points for NPSP.
Sydney Wilson broke the streak with two good free throws and Earl hit a three-pointer that took the score 37-6.
Despite their continued fight, by the end of the third, Perkins County was down 41 points.
Wilson, Earl and Dani Burge both hit the net for PC in the fourth but the Lady Irish took the game 58-14.
Earl and Wilson were the top scorers for the game, with six points each, and Burge contributed two.
The loss leaves the Lady Plainsmen with a 1-8 record thus far for the season.
