Four boys and five girls from Wallace will travel to Omaha this weekend for the state track championship meet.
Madisen Messersmith claimed the district title in the 400 for a trip to the event.
Hannah Nelson took the gold in the long jump and Peyton Messersmith took first in the triple jump.
Micah Swedberg earned a trip to the state meet by placing first in the 400 and second in the high jump.
Maggie May and Jared Sullivan will compete in the 200 and long jump respectively.
Peyton Messersmith, Widener, Madisen Messersmith and May took first in the 4x400 relay and Tyler Daniels, Robbie Nelson, Sullivan and Swedberg took second in the 4x400.
The girls’ 4x100 finished second, but their time wasn’t quite fast enough to get them to the state meet.
Events begin at Omaha Burke Stadium at 9 a.m. CT on Friday, May 19, with Class D events starting at 3 p.m.
