North Platte Community College hosted its annual all-star game Friday, June 3.

The night opened with the girls’ contest.

The White team, coached by Lane Swedberg, led 29-23 at halftime before pulling away midway through the second half to take a 67-58 win.

Wallace’s Mariah Gardner led with 21 points. Also on the White team was Chase County’s Jordan Jablonski who finished with two points.

Chase County’s Jerzee Milner led the Black team with 12 points.

The boys’ game will not be remembered for its defense, but players on both sides enjoyed themselves.

The White team, featuring Wallace’s Camden McConnell and Perkins County’s Triston Hite, made 23 three pointers and 14 two-point field goals in a 103-120 loss to the Black team, which included Plainsmen Hunter Garner and Hayden Foster and Wallace’s Kolton Hager.

Foster scored a team-high 21 points. Garner added 14 points and Hager 12 points.

McConnell scored eight points and Hite two points.

North Platte’s Caleb Tonkinson led all scorers with 32 points thanks to 10 three pointers.
