PC adds two wins to record

The eighth annual Pink-Out was held at PCS on Jan. 11 where the Plainsmen hosted the Chase County Longhorns in a classic rivalry game.

Wauneta Palisade was up next for the Plainsmen on Friday, Jan. 12.

CHASE COUNTY

Despite an early gain of 6-2 for PC, by the end of the first period, the Plainsmen had let the Longhorns pull ahead with a 19-10 lead.

Perkins County went on an eight-point run in the second, before the Longhorns hit a trey. A basket from Aaron Fay tied the game 21-21 with just under four and a half minutes left until halftime.

The Longhorns were able to take the lead after drawing a foul and putting up two good free throws and following it up with a triple point shot and another basket. By the end of the second, Chase County had a three-point lead, 28-25.

Holding the Longhorns to 11 points in the third, the Plainsmen were able to add 18 points to their side of the board for a six point PC lead going into the fourth, 43-37.
