PC boys runner-up at Sutherland

Perkins County’s boys track team had a successful day at the Sutherland Invitational on Thursday, April 13, finishing runner-up despite injuries. 

Perkins County tracksters coming home with first place medals were Bailey Schrotberger in the 100 and Kiffen Cook in long jump. The boys’ 4x100 relay also captured first. 

Miles Lagler took second in discus, along with Jaden Dietlein in the 3200 and Schrotberger in the 200. 

Finishing third were Cook in the 400, Wood in the 300 meter hurdles, Charles Johnson in long jump, Evan Sestak in high jump and Jaci Kurkowski in shot put.

Earning fourth, fifth and/or sixth place medals were Dietlein, Christopher Terry,  Johnson, Hailey Snyder, Domonic Wendell, Caden Waitley, Jarin Tines and the boys’ 4x400 relay. 

The teams competed in the Chase County Invitational on Tuesday, April 18. See next week’s issue for results.
