PC girls finish with winning record

With over half its opponents finishing the season with winning records, the Perkins County girls basketball team finished the season with an 11-10 record.
PCS Head Coach Deanne Bishop said it was a tough schedule and pointed out the junior varsity team went 12-3.
“The future is bright for the Plainsmen,” she said.
Bishop also thanked seniors, Meredith Gloy and Carlie Homan, for their hard work and leadership for their hard work this season.
In her first year at Perkins County, Homan averaged 6.1 points per game, third on the team behind junior Kailee Potts, 18.0 ppg, and sophomore Libby Cole, 9.8 ppg.
Gloy was second on the team with 5.8 rebounds per game, only trailing Cole, 6.7 rpg. Gloy was also second on the team behind Potts in assist and steals per game.
Besides the two seniors, juniors Ava Reese, Maggie Fisher and Potts, plus Cole and freshman Jacqueline Gloy played in all 21 of the Plainsmen’s games this year.
