PC girls golfers compete at Bayard

Thursday, Aug. 24 saw the PCS girls compete in their first golf invite of the 2017 season.

Senior Kyla Brueggeman and junior Peyton Woodmancy competed as individuals at the Bayard course on Thursday morning, against eight other varsity teams.

Brueggeman shot 55 on the first nine and 61 on the back, giving her an individual score of 116 for the day.

“It didn’t go the way I expected. It was very hot out,” Brueggeman said, and added she hopes to improve this week.

Woodmancy said, “It was a lot of fun. I didn’t golf the best, but I still have many more meets to improve!”

She had 72 strokes on the way out, and 67 on the way back in, for a day total of 139.
